This is a five day workshop in the Badlands National Park, South Dakota. This remote region with its sculpted soil, sweeping vistas and extraordinary light is an ideal dramatic background for figurative work. Our goal is to make the strongest images possible through collaboration between photographer and model, and in the process discover a personal style. We will work on maximizing light potential, how to use reflectors, bounce and fill light.

| Heather Matson | 2/18/2004 | | I entered the workshop during the dryiest creative spell of my life... just graduating for college and all. Doug has such a gift of teaching individuals how to start that creative flame and to stand alone in fine art photography. I have been completely refueled. | | Vanessa Merchant | 2/17/2004 | | I am thrilled to have been involved in Doug's Badlands workshop. I was moved, amazed and changed. Being introduced to life through Doug's eyes gave me a wonderful new perspective on my own. | | Elisabeth Krey Jenssen, Norway | 2/16/2004 | | An amazing experience in an amazing nature with Amazing people and not at least: An amazing instructor!
