Tuscany is a perfect place to explore the many facets of the Feminine, the source of creativity, intuition and an impassioned life. With fantastic meals served al fresco three times a day, and the rest of our physical comforts tended to by the gracious staff at Il Grande Prato, we will gather in a circle of creative, supportive women and journey inward on an adventure guided by the deep wisdom of the Feminine. The integrated Feminine is serene and wild. She is playful, passionate and compassionate. She the young girl within us; she is the maiden, mother, crone. She is the Warrior and she is feminine face of the Divine.
The retreat includes two days in Florence with guide, a wine tasting and cooking and yoga lessons. Massage is available. Following the retreat is a four day optional post-retreat trip to Venice.

| cathy Eising | 12/29/2007 5:22:12 AM | | I attended a Retreat with Emily in Montana as a yoga teacher a few years back and had a wonderful experience. Although I taught only 2 yoga classes a day I attended all the writing classes because they were so much fun.
Emily has a gift for creating a powerful group experience where each of the participants are valued and contribute to the greater whole. She leads and creates an environment of power ,healing and shared participation.
I came home more fully opened to myself. | | Janet King | 12/28/2007 9:51:26 PM | | I recently attended a retreat of Emily's in Pennsylvania that was extremely similar to the Florence retreat. The Pennsylvania retreat represents one of the peak spiritual experiences of my life. Not only did I and we take some huge risks and satisfy some deep longings, but the growth continues inside me, four months later. Sometimes one goes on a conference or retreat, and comes home alive with excitement, only to forget, within a few days, that the retreat ever happened. But I have not forgotten. Here are some examples of what happened to me on the retreat:
o I overcame a huge fear that I've had almost since birth and assumed would be a part of me forever. I discovered as Emily puts it, that "our greatest fears hold our deepest treasures." I learned that if I can overcome one fear, I can overcome others as well.
o I bonded deeply with 13 women whom I now consider my true sisters.
o I grew in my capacity to take risks, to see the hidden gifts in the bad things that inevitably happen in life, and to listen to my intuition.
o I learned that "you must die to yourself in order to be reborn" and began the process of reclaiming disowned parts of myself. I am more committed than ever to discovering and doing in the "real world" what my soul is calling me to do.
Emily's retreats are very intense and not for the faint of heart. But they are also a lot of fun. We bond deeply and laugh a lot. Emily is very committed to seeing that we stay together as a family long after the retreat is over and to continuing our individual and collective journeys.
| | Tamara Palmer | 12/28/2007 4:48:10 PM | | I attended this same retreat with Emily in Glastonbury England in 2005. It was like the camp I've dreamed of all my life! Emily has a way of unleashing the creativity in you. Through a meditation/writing exercise on the retreat, I began writing a story, which has now led to a novel that I'm trying to get published. Without her, the group of women and the magic of the experience, I would not have discovered this story waiting to be written. | | MARY JANE | 12/26/2007 5:07:39 PM | | I ATTENDED ONE OF EMILY'S RETREATS AT CASTELFIORENTINO, AND RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY. THE RETREAT WAS VERY WELL PLANNED AND CONDUCTED AND THE CREATIVE JOURNEY WAS VERY REWARDING. I MET WONDERFUL, LIKE-MINDED WOMEN, SOME WHO I CONTINUE TO BE IN TOUCH WITH. AS FOR CASTELFIORENTINO ITSELF, THE FOOD, THE PEOPLE, THE ROOMS.....MAGNIFICO!!! |
