| Cecelia Lucas | 11/30/2005 | | There's something about the Sophia Lodge that I can't quite put my finger on. It is just..."otherworldly" I guess. I felt like I stepped off planet earth for a few days, to a place that had a presence of peace and serenity, and beauty that you only expect to see in pictures. Even thinking about it now, I still feel a bit of the spell come over me. The facilities are beautiful. The service was some of the most attentive I've had. The food is truly outstanding. Well done, Sophia Lodge. You will see me again! | | Lucille Cozzolino | 11/9/2005 | | The ministers of my spiritual community go on retreat twice a year and have been doing do for years. We have been to so many retreat centers and found that we always had to compromise an important aspect of our retreat. Sometimes it was the space, sometimes the food, and sometime we did not feel genuinely welcomed or served by the staff. This was the first retreat that gave us everything we wanted and needed. There was plenty of room for everyone, the food was fantastic, the views inspiring, and the staff was warm and attentive. They were flexible and accommodating to all of our space and scheduling needs. As a group leader, it felt great to be able to sit back and know that everything was being taken care of. Our group unanimously agreed to make it our home base for all of our retreats. I also hope to go back by myself for a personal retreat because the surrounding were so naturally meditative and beautiful that I know it would be a fruitful and centering time for me. | | Louise Cardarella | 11/9/2005 | | I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Sophia Lodge and Retreat Center. The location is perfect for all the recreational and sightseeing opportunities in the 4 Corners area. The Lodge is beautiful and inviting. The food was great. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating.
It is on my list of places to return to often. | | Marion Plunkett | 10/30/2005 | | I stayed at the Sophia Conference Center just a few weeks ago in October. I had no idea what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprsied. The lodge is a spacious, beautifully appointed facility with picture perfect guest rooms. The master suite has a full jacuzzi tub and its own private porch to watch the glorious sunsets over the mountains. I was also impressed with the food-- prime rib and salmon after a day outdoors. World class service in a breathtaking setting. The staff really goes out of their way to make your stay comfortable and to help you with everything you need. I recommend it highly. | | Joshua Clapp | 10/28/2005 | | What I will remember most about my stay at the Sophia Retreat and Conference Center is the way in which we were treated. We were very impressed with our interactions with management as well as the staff. And the food....!! Being from the south (Atlanta, GA), we say the quickest way to a persons heart is through food and hospitality. This center had a great balance of both. I have been to many other retreat centers and it is not a common thing to go away knowing that you will return. Thank you for a most enjoyable stay.

The Sophia lodge is beautiful -- beautiful woodwork, cozy fireplace, breathtaking mountain vistas in 3 directions. The hospitality was impressively friendly and professional and the food was outstanding. I highly recommend staying at this most outstanding lodge. I have done my fair share of travelling and I was never better taken care of. | | John Mark Klapperich | 10/28/2005 | | The Best View, The Best Food and the Best Relaxed atmosphere for re-centering.
