In June, 2001, I went to Leb Shomea. I was devistated, and had to know that God truly existed and my son, Sam, was okay. He was 19 and he shot himself in the head.found him. Walter Hans helped me get in. He had friiends who had losr their sons to suicide. Sister Georgia Fucik had told me about Leb Shomea several years back. You were, in my head, the only why I could survive this. Father Kelly, you helped me to begin to see God as a loving force full of mercy for us. For Sam. Father Kelly, you helped me to begin. The only way I survive, was to know that I didn't have to stay if couldn't take the guilt and pain anymore. I want to thank you for giving the beginning of hope. I would like to return soon because I know that my journey has moved me somewhere different than I was. I want to hope that I am going in the right diretion and that if life takes me to a place like this again, I will know God has control. Thank you father kelly for talking to me and letting me know that God is a loving merciful understanding creator. Fondly, Lexie Brawner
