I have been to this retreat several times. The first time, in 2004, I spent a month, including the Easter celebrations, and returned several times since. 18 miles down a dirt road, completely off the grid, this traditional Benedictine Monastery is perfect for retreat. Silence is observed except at certain times and places, and the rooms are very simple but adequate. Aesthetically very pleasing - adobe structures, beautiful high desert setting. Meet people from all walks of life - protestants, catholics, ministers, nuns, ecumenical, traditional sorts...no wireless or cellphone coverage, although you can have limited access to a computer. My monthlong remains one of the highlights of my life.
