Yasodhara Ashram is a vibrant spiritual community where people of all ages live and work together to expand their awareness and bring the teachings of yoga to life. Resting on 120 acres of woodland where the mountains touch the waters of Kootenay Lake, the ashram was established by Swami Sivananda Radha in 1963 and continues to thrive under the caring leadership of Swami Radhananda.
A visit to Yasodhara provides an opportunity for in-depth self-enquiry and harmonious living. We offer a wide range of yoga retreats as well as options for extended stays.
In the summer the Ashram hums with courses, celebrations, and teacher training programs. Any time of the year, the Ashram is a place to go within, grow, and be inspired by the beauty of our natural surroundings. We offer an opportunity for in-depth self enquiry, and the experience of harmonious community living. A retreat at the ashram provides the perfect setting to experience yoga as more than just the physical practice.
