As a nonsectarian retreat facility, we offer a place of refuge where people can withdraw from daily life and refresh. Accommodations are comfortable and quiet with space to breathe, rest, and meditate. Our facility includes our spacious, light filled Meditation Hall, smaller session rooms, a large auditorium, our monastic wood beamed dining room, jacuzzis and comfortable lounges.Overlooking the Hudson River in the midst of the dramatic Hudson Highlands, our facility is one hour north of NYC.
Average Cost: $$$$
Our prices vary depending on room type, the nature of the event, and length of stay. All prices include three meals per day. Given the high quality of the Garrison Institute experience, our prices are very reasonable.
At many retreats we provide a daily house job option that includes doing light cleaning work for about one hour, which will reduce your rate by $10 per day.

The Garrison Institute is committed to understanding, measuring and minimizing the environmental impact of our own operations. We have installed motion sensor lighting controls in low traffic areas, operate our own water treatment and sewage system using wells on our property, print marketing materials on 100% post-consumer recycled content, and our chef prepares food that is mostly vegetarian, locally grown and organic.
