In the 28 years since it was founded, Wellspring has nestled itself into the hearts of a community of open minded, conscientious and health-oriented people. At the core of Wellspring’s work is a belief in the power of rest, renewal and reflection, and it has become a sacred space for healing and growth. Enabling such experiences for our guests has been the guiding principle behind our efforts as people and growth as a business; we have seen that the gentle care it bestows upon its guests inspires the pursuit of a more genuine engagement with the world.
Wellspring avails itself to those who seek refuge, quiet, inner knowledge, reflection and healing. The mission of Wellspring is to facilitate the sort of rest that allows decisions to be made with compassion, and to encourage awareness of the inter-connectedness of the earth’s systems and inhabitants.
This world has an evermore-acute need for sanctuary. Wellspring is a place to which one may turn in times of exhaustion, frustration or doubt. But it also a place for the sort of healing which is only possible in the guidance of soulful and committed retreat leaders.

Mission/Lineage: Twenty-eight years ago, Wellspring was run with a canoe paddle.
Well, not exactly, but when we began, in 1983, Wellspring had only one hot tub, which was situated in a remodeled greenhouse. The tub was heated by an underwater wood stove, and instead of electric jets, tub water really was circulated with a canoe paddle.
Today, Wellspring is just as handcrafted and is still operated with love. And it remains one of the best-kept secrets of the Pacific Northwest.
We couldn’t be more pleased at what a beautiful and healthy place this has become. Through the years, as our facilities have grown, a community of loving and loyal clientele have grown with it.
