Samasati Nature Retreat is absolutely amazing! The cabin is perfect, and I felt so safe even though I was staying by myself in the middle of the rain forest. The trails are beautiful and peaceful. I truly felt like I was at one with nature. The staff is by far the friendliest most hospitable people I have ever met. The chefs are beyond talented, and I continue to crave their yummy creations. I never felt more relaxed leaving a yoga class. Zip lining was so much fun. Horseback riding was fabulous. I always wanted to gallop on the beach. Of course, once the horse started to gallop, I became really scared and I wanted to take it easy. Luckily, the trainer didn't give up on me and he kept trying to get me to allow the horse to gallop. After a little while, we were galloping on the beach and it was a moment in life I will never forget. The waterfall was breath taking and swimming under it literally took my breath away. It was so powerful, yet so refreshing. I never saw something so naturally beautiful in all of my life. I, also, went to the Jaguar Rescue Center and I was able to hold a Howler Monkey. He was so adorable. He fell asleep in my arms with his tongue sticking out. That was also a moment in life I will never forget. I can honestly say that my stay at Samasati Nature Retreat was by far the best vacation I have ever had. I am sure I will return. Thank you again for everything! Best regards Kellie

Our stay at Samasati was absolutley wonderful. I booked in to stay with my daughter Diane who had already booked with you. You very graciously upgraded us to a bungalo. It was heaven. I can't imagine a more wonderful place to wake up with the sounds of the rainforest, the birds and even the loud monkeys. We had glorious weather, we were really lucky. It was slow while we were there and for a couple of days we were almost the only guests...we LOVED it!!! The food was delicious...we still drool over it when we talk about it....can't wait to buy the cook book if it ever comes out. Max, our yoga instructor was fabulous, he was so soothing and yet challenging at the same time. We had a ton of fun on the canopy tour and the horseback riding was the best I'd ever been on. Galloping down a secluded beach and into the forest, just Diane, myself and a guide....amazing! The staff were so friendly and nice, we loved the girls at the front desk, and the men who drove us up and down the hill every day couldn't have been sweeter. We have been raving about this holiday to everyone we meet and hope someday to come back. Samasati is indeed a gem in the world. Sincerely,

Your service was very helpful from the beginning and appreciated your responsiveness in addressing all our questions. Everyone we had the pleasure of meeting was always so friendly and helpful--a very beautiful country and people. Would love to bring my daughter back with me in a few years when she is a little older. Thanks again Liseth and to the owners and staff at Samasati for building the retreat there for so many others to enjoy and appreciate. Pura Vida! Kristen (and Liz)

Dear Noelia, Thank you so much for your many kindnesses and help with arranging things for me and my fellow classmates at Samasati. The experience literally changed our lives: our values, character, and spirits. We each returned from Samasati a better person than when we first arrived. We also want to extend sincere thanks to all the people who work at Samasati for their exceptional dedication to our needs. The food was simply amazing. Every day the ladies performed culinary miracles in their kitchen. They prepared a variety of fresh, delicious foods that were of the highest quality. The cleaning service was professional, fast, and attentive to details, often surprising us with beautiful flowers on our linens. The transportation was always reliable, courteous, and prompt; and the grounds were meticulously attended with the utmost respect to the natural beauty of the rainforest that envelopes Samasati. In addition, we must mention Gita, the resident yoga instructor - who often engaged us with stimulating conversations and advice - and Kimberly and Aldomar, the managers - who took special care to insure that everything ran in a smooth, professional, and orderly manner. While all of this is impressive, what is truly notable is the pride the people of Samasati take in their tasks and the warm, friendly hospitality they extended to us as guests in Costa Rica. They prepared birthday cakes for those several of us who had birthdays during our stay, and they prepared special teas and chest compresses if we were ill. Finally, we were especially fortunate to have Marianne Wells provide us world-class training at Samasati. She is a truly inspiring yogini and a deeply gifted teacher. She touched each of us in a unique way, bringing out the best in us so that we are now better prepared for our journey to pass on the gift of yoga to others. Samasati is a mystical place of unsurpassed beauty and welcoming people. Please pass on my deepest gratitude on behalf of myself and my beloved classmates to everyone involved in making this treasured visit on 25 July to 9 August 2009 to Samasati so very, very meaningful. . . . Namaste, Chris Lane ~
