Moon and Mountain Retreat is a spacious guest suite with 2 bedrooms (each 15' x 20'), sitting area, kitchenette, dining area and private bath on the second floor of our home. (Guests also have access to laundry facilities.) The second bedroom serves as a den when not used as a bedroom. We are located on an acre of land at the foothills of Virgin Mesa in Jemez Springs, NM. Your room here has its own private entrance and balcony, and overlooks the Jemez River with spectacular views of Cat Mesa and Virgin Mesa. There are no workshops that guests are expected to attend. We do offer guided hikes up and around Virgin Mesa and brief morning Chi Kung breathing relaxations, but it is not required. Artists may choose to sketch or paint the breathtaking landscapes of New Mexico or they may do no art at all. Writers may choose to take advantage of the mountain tranquility to work or just relax and take a break from writing. There are many areas in which martial artists may practice their forms and the guest rooms provide ample space for yoga practice. What you do with your time here is solely up to you. Guests are welcome and invited to visit the sculpture studio and fine art gallery. You will also have no trouble sleeping with the soothing sounds of the river in the background and waking to bird songs in the morning.

Dogs are generally welcome in the room, but we also provide an enclosed courtyard.
