Samasati is an exquisite retreat facility situated on 250 acres of virgin tropical rainforest overlooking the Caribbean Sea in the marvelous country of Costa Rica. The artful balance achieved within its environment makes Samasati Nature Retreat an ideal destination for nature lovers, group activities, or for the individual to experience physical, psychological and spiritual renewal.

THE INFRASTRUCTURE
Samasati offers exotic and comfortable accommodation, private cottages with ocean view or rooms with shared bathroom for budget travelers.  The restaurant is an  impressive open air structure with breataking views of the Caribbean. Gourmet international food is served and specialy dietary needs are met upon request. The meeting/yoga room is an exquisite, very private exagonal building, nestled in the forest and fully equipped with first class sound system and yoga props. A large jacuzzi overlooking the sparkling sea is the ideal place to relax and unwind after a day of adventurous activities or after a yoga class.

THE ACTIVITIES

Yoga and massage
Yoga classes  and guided meditations are offered daily. Yoga workshops and retreats are happening monthly. Yoga Teacher Trainings approved by Yoga Alliance are held twice a year. All our Yoga teachers are certified and trained to teach from very beginners to advanced students.

vique martin	4/12/2007 8:23:52 PM		this vegan yoga retreat is exactly what it claims to be. fantastic food [especially the dinners] for vegans [soup, main course, veggies and awesome salad dishes]. beautiful location, great houses, cabins and dining area. phenomenal rain forest walks and when in your hammock or cabin it sounds like you are right in the middle of it. best part is the 6 dogs that live there [mostly lab and lab/german shepard mixes] that are really friendly. they'll go for walks with you and sit on your deck at night. the yoga studio is beautiful and the teacher phenomenal. practising yoga whilst listening to the sounds of the rain forest all around you can't be beaten. yes it took ages to get to on the bus [4.5 hours], but it was well worth it. the staff are really helpful and friendly and i'd go back again any time! highly recommended.
Rene	1/18/2007 11:18:10 AM		I stayed at samasati for 5 nights and i enjoyed every moment of my vacation. The trip to get there is long, a drive of 4 hours from the city. Once I have got at Samasati I have realized that it had been worth it! I had a nice woodeen bungalow, spacious with an incredible view of the ocean and of the jungle. The staff has been very helpful and accomodating. Good food and good yoga classes. Leaving Samasati i have felt a little disappointed - i could have stayed 2 or 3 more days - but with the certainty I will be back and I will tell my friends and family about it!
