This Ashtanga Yoga retreat will be taught by Richard Freedman with Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini.  It will begin at 8:00 am with 2 hours of yoga.  This will be followed by free time to explore Maui.  The afternoon will begin at 4:30 and include around 2 hours of yoga practice.

The retreat will take place at the Maya Yoga, in Huelo on the North shore of the island of Maui in Hawaii. This studio is superbly crafted of Alaskan yellow cedar wood so the room is warm and light. One wall is composed entirely of windows that faces out over the Pacific Ocean, while another affords views of the Haleakala volcano crater.

The views are nothing short of stunning. The yoga room is fully equipped with a wide range of props for therapeutic yogas.

There is absolutely no electricity in the building which keeps the energy in the room pure and clean for yoga practice.

This is truly one of the most magnificent yoga studios in the world...

Accommodations will be at the Shangri-La, a beautiful private location on a cliff overlooking the ocean on the Northshore of Maui. It is a retreat center, not a hotel or B& B. There is a short walk to a waterfall, a swimming pool and hot tub as well as both private & shared bathrooms.

Due to the popularity of the workshop limited single rooms may be available but mostly it is double accommodations (same sex). We will not be able to tell you what room you are assigned to until a week before the retreat.  All room assignments are handled through us.
