I attended the Retreat led by renowed Franciscan Maury Bodo. He was outstanding. The accomodations were great and the hospitality outstanding. Looking forward to going back in the near future!

My husband and I are the pastors of God’s Word Christian Center in Calumet City, IL. We started using the Port for church wide retreats in 2006. “Love at first sight” best describes how we and our congregation feel about the Port. The facility promotes peacefulness, meditation and spiritual renewal in both its design and character. The friendliness of staff and their willingness to work through the individual needs of attendees have aided in making our retreats both spiritual and physical successes. The forested grounds are spacious and excellent for meditative walks. There's plenty of outdoor seating (gazebo, benches, etc) for reading or just getting lost in the day. Truly this is a place that I leave with the thought in mind, “How soon can I return.” You’ve got our 5-star rating.
