Located just an hour north of San Francisco International Airport, EarthRise at IONS is housed on 194 acres of beautiful rolling hills where hiking trails meander through pristine native live oak woodlands, and the surrounding open space offers panoramic vistas of the California landscape. Special features include a beautiful permaculture garden that provides fruits and vegetables for our kitchen, a labyrinth, a meditation hut nestled in a peaceful oak grove, and multiple sitting areas for quiet contemplation.

Earthrise has 64 sleeping rooms and over 5000 square feet of meeting/yoga/event space. There are spots for quiet contemplation as well as for gathering in small and large groups.
We have accommodations for up to 120 people on campus, double or single occupancy. Nearly all rooms share bathrooms in each building, with two to four rooms. There's a personal kitchen in the lodging area for coffee and tea at all times. We offer nutritious, farm-to-table meals that nourish the body and soul served buffet style in our community center for all groups.
There are plenty of places to meet in dyads, and groups outside in nature in our oak grove, zen garden and labrynth.
All indoor spaces are air-conditioned and heated. WiFi is free an available everywhere on the campus.

In April, 2014 EarthRise Retreat Center at IONS met the criteria for participation in the Green Business Program for our efforts to reduce pollution and solid waste while conserving water, energy and other natural resources. We were issued a Certificate of Compliance for a Marin Green Business.
We also have an active permaculture garden where we source some of our fruits, vegetables and flowers.

Housing: EarthRise at IONS accommodates 100+ overnight guests in eight buildings. All housing accommodations are situated near to one another, and are located next to the West Room. Our housing is modest and simple. Single and shared rooms are available; most rooms have two twin beds, some have one full/queen bed. The bathrooms in each building are located in the hallway and shared with other guests. Bedding, linens and towels are provided.

Travel Info: The EarthRise Retreat Center at the Institute of Noetic Sciences is located approximately 30 miles north of San Francisco off of Highway 101 at the intersection of beautiful Marin and Sonoma Counties.
Direct travel time between the SFO and Oakland airports is approximately one hour from Oakland and slightly over an hour from SFO, depending on traffic. From the airport you can take either a shuttle service or a taxi service.
Getting to the EarthRise campus can be tricky, so be sure to look here and read the driving directions on our website carefully.
