We are a small, contemplative, Roman Catholic Benedictine monastery. We have a guest house with 1 double room, 5 single rooms and two shared bathrooms upstairs and one downstairs and a shared kitchen and living rooms. We also have two one-room guest cabins with bathroom, shower and kitchen. We welcome individuals and small groups of all faiths and no faith. Because of COVID, we cannot currently offer the kind of hospitality that we practiced pre-pandemic. We are asking guests to bring and prepare their own food. We can accomodate more than one guest in the main guest house, on the condition that they be of the same household or social group, and that they take responsibility for social distancing among themselves. We discourage guests from joining the sisters for prayer at the present time. A sister is available for spiritual direction only when the weather is warm enough to sit outdoors.

Mission/Lineage: We are a small, contemplative, Benedictine monastery, offering individuals and small groups the opportunity to find spiritual refreshment in a beautiful, quiet, rural setting. We chant the monastic services of Matins and Lauds, Noon Prayer, Vespers and Compline. Since the sudden death of our chaplain in October 2020, we no longer have daily mass.
Average Cost: $
Normally, we provide a home-cooked meal at noon and the makings of breakfast and supper in the guest house and hermitage kitchens. At present, and for the duration of the pandemic, we are asking guests to bring and prepare all their own food.
Work Exchange:
Yes!
Occasionally we accept guests who work in exchange for a reduced nightly rate. This work usually entails gardening, yard work, or library work. Since we are currently requiring that all guests bring and prepare their own food because of the pandemic, the usual full nightly rate of $65/person has been reduced to $50.
